My Honest Review of Omnisend - The Pro's and Con's

I have been running marketing campaigns for clients for over 10 years and no matter the business, no matter the industry, email marketing campaigns are always a top driver of conversions. If someone has signed up for your marketing list, they are already engaged (they have expressed interest of some sort of another in your business) and are far more likely to purchase from you. If you sell any type of product or service online, having an email marketing platform should be one of the first things you set up but it can be overwhelming figuring out which one to use. I have used "everything" from MailChimp to Constant Contact but the email marketing platform I recommend to my clients and use on a daily basis is Omnisend. Grab a coffee and let's chat about what Omnisend is, its key features, and why you should consider using it for marketing your business.

What is Omnisend?

Omnisend is an omnichannel marketing automation platform designed to help businesses create personalized and targeted marketing campaigns across various channels. It integrates with e-commerce platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce, making it easy for online retailers to streamline their marketing efforts. I use it to add products to marketing emails that directly link to my clients website. I have set it up to send discount codes to first time sign ups, abandoned cart emails and automatic emails to customer segments based on actions they take on the website or products they have purchased. They recently added a product review feature.

I have gone through the integration process with Shopify and it is quick, simple, and painless. The hardest part for someone with no tech experience to figure out is verifying your email address and entering in the DNS settings if it doesn't automatically verify for you. If your domain is registered with one of the popular domain registrars, you shouldn't have an issue. 

Why Use Omnisend for Your Business? The Pro's.

The Con's

There isn't much that I can say "bad" about Omnisend but if you are new to email marketing or have never set up a workflow before, it can be a little intimidating to figure out how it all works but there are plenty of tutorials and once you figure it out, it becomes secondhand - a well planned out email marketing campaign can be set up in less than an hour.
